Import Assessment Records

 
Importing assessment records saves you the time of having to key in assessment information for each examinee individually.

 

Note:  Records can be imported from Q-Local, ASSIST, PCC-II, and Scan Client.

 

How to Import Assessment Records

 

  1. Click the Home link or click the Examinee tab. This will take you back to the homepage.
  2. Click the More Actions command button. This will display a drop down menu of options.
  3. Click Manage Assessment Imports. The Manage Assessment Imports window will display.
  4. Click the Import command button. An Import Assessment Records upload window will open.
  5. Select the File Source for your import (ASSIST, Q-Local (TRQ), or PCC-II (WIAT-III). For ASSIST products, select the Assessment Acronym from the drop-down. For PCC-II (WIAT-III), select the Delimiter type from the drop-down.  
  6. Click Browse. This will open a dialog box. Navigate to the location of your import file.
  7. Select the file and click Open. An Import Assessment Records dialog box will appear and the path to your file should be visible.
  8. Click the Import File button.
  9. Your import file will be queued for import. To check the status of your import, click the Refresh button.
  10. Import files in Completed status have been successfully imported.

 

How to Import Records from PCC-II

Install PCC-II Export Utility
  1. Download the PCC Export Utility from http://pearsonassessmentsupport.com/support/index.php?View=files&CategoryID=324
  2. Run setup.exe
  3. Accept the License Agreement and follow the prompts to install.
  4. When installation is complete, click the Finish button.
Export data from PCC-II
  1. To open the Export Utility, navigate to Start | All Programs | PsychCorpCenter | Tools | Data Export Utility

  2. Wait for PsychCorpCenter Data Export window to open.
    NOTE: The Test Name drop-down box will not populate until at least 1 WIAT-III assessment has been entered in PCC-II.

  3. Select from the Test Name drop-down box the assessment type to be exported. The table below the drop-down will populate with a row for each assessment of the selected type.

  4. Multi-select individual rows using ctrl-click, select a group a rows using shift-click, or click the Select All button at the top to select all rows from the table.

  5. After desired assessment records have been selected, select the Export Map type for the data to be organized upon export. This field defaults to the most likely Export Map to be used, but may be changed if multiple options exist. (WIAT-III Export Map)

  6. Select the Export Format and Separate Values Using options. For Q-global imports, Pearson recommends using the default values “Plain Text”, unchecked “Include column descriptions”, and “Comma”.

  7. Verify the Export To file path, or click the ellipses button to browse to a different location.

  8. After configuration options have been selected, click the Export Selected Items button to create the export file.

  9. A prompt will display asking if you would like to open the file now.

    (Optional) If Yes is selected, the export file will open with Notepad with the exported values in a string separated by commas.
    (Optional) If No is selected, the export file is best opened later by first opening MS Excel, then browsing for the file from within Excel. Instructions

  10. Exported PCC-II assessments can be imported into Q-global using the previously mentioned import instruction.

 

Troubleshooting Import File Issues

If you are having trouble importing record files, please review the following:

 

 

WARNING:  Duplicate Records.   

If the same import files are reloaded into Q-global, duplicate records will be created.  Any record(s) that result with an error condition, will not be loaded into Q-global.
