Importing assessment records saves you the time of having to key in assessment
information for each examinee individually.
Note: Records can be imported from Q-Local, ASSIST, PCC-II, and Scan Client.
To open the Export Utility, navigate to Start | All Programs | PsychCorpCenter | Tools | Data Export Utility
Wait for
PsychCorpCenter Data Export window to open.
NOTE: The
Test Name drop-down box will not populate until at least 1 WIAT-III
assessment has been entered in PCC-II.
Select from the Test Name drop-down box the assessment type to be exported. The table below the drop-down will populate with a row for each assessment of the selected type.
Multi-select individual rows using ctrl-click, select a group a rows using shift-click, or click the Select All button at the top to select all rows from the table.
After desired assessment records have been selected, select the Export Map type for the data to be organized upon export. This field defaults to the most likely Export Map to be used, but may be changed if multiple options exist. (WIAT-III Export Map)
Select the Export Format and Separate Values Using options. For Q-global imports, Pearson recommends using the default values “Plain Text”, unchecked “Include column descriptions”, and “Comma”.
Verify the Export To file path, or click the ellipses button to browse to a different location.
After configuration options have been selected, click the Export Selected Items button to create the export file.
A prompt will display asking if you
would like to open the file now.
(Optional) If Yes is selected, the export file will open with Notepad
with the exported values in a string separated by commas.
(Optional) If No is selected, the export file is best opened later
by first opening MS Excel, then browsing for the file from within
Excel. Instructions
Exported PCC-II assessments can be imported into Q-global using the previously mentioned import instruction.
If you are having trouble importing record files, please review the following:
TRQ files (Q-local). Identify the error records that are noted with the import. Fix the error records in Q-local and re-import ONLY those records into Q-global.
DAT files (Scan Client). Identify the scan forms that are creating the error conditions. Correct the errors and rescan ONLY those forms.
PCC files. Identify the error records that are noted with the import. Click the link for each of the assessment records in Q-global. The error records can be correct in Q-global and re-saved.
AUI assessment records will NOT import into Q-global. Q-global does not support AUI at this time.
Files larger than 10MB will not import successfully into Q-global. You will need to create multiple export files (less than 10MB each) from Q-local, then complete the imports into Q-global.
PCC files need to be saved with the .txt extension.
WARNING: Duplicate Records.
If the same import files are reloaded into Q-global, duplicate records will be created. Any record(s) that result with an error condition, will not be loaded into Q-global.
