Importing a Comparison Group

1.   From the More Actions drop-down on the Examinee tab, click Import User-Defined Group. The Import Comparison Group Statistics dialog box will appear.

2.     Click Browse and select the User-Defined Comparison Group (UDG) file you wish to import.  

3.     Click the Import File button.

 

Note:  AUTHOR NAME cannot be edited once the CGG file is imported into the system.

Opens the Browse dialog box and allows you to search and select the UDG file you would like to import.

Import File

Validates all data entered and saves the user-defined comparison group to the database.

 

Note: If you click the ‘Import File’ button and have selected an incorrect file type, a notification will display “The selected import file does not have the proper suffix. Please select a file with a udg suffix.”

 

If this user-defined comparison group already exists in the account, a notification will display, “A Comparison Group with the name and gender <Gender> and GUID <GUID> already exists.”

Cancel

Closes the window without saving any data and returns you to the Examinee tab.

 

Exporting a Comparison Group

1.     Open CGG.

2.     Click the Export: UDG button corresponding to the comparison group you would like to export. An Export Comparison Group Statistics dialog box will appear. By default, the comparison group name and gender will be preselected based on the group you selected to export.   

3.     If this is the first time you are exporting this group, you will be prompted to provide the author's name. The author's name will always be associated with this comparison group.

4.     Click the Export button.

5.     Browse to the location where you would like to save the export file and click Save.

Note: If you click the ‘Export’ button and an Author’s Name has not been entered, a notification will display, “Please enter the author name to be associated with this comparison group.”

 

You will only be required to enter Author’s Name on the first time that specific user-defined comparison group is exported.

Cancel

Closes the dialog without saving any data and returns you to the Main Comparison Group Generator Screen.

  

Printing Comparison Group Statistics

1.     Open CGG.

2.     Click the Print button corresponding to the comparison group you would like print. You can send the comparison group statistics to a printer or save them to a file.

3.     To print, click Open. From the menu bar of the PDF, click File and Print.

4.     To save, browse to the location where you would like to save PDF and click Save.

 

TRQ File

When a comparison group is created, a transfer file (.trq) is generated containing the assessment records used to define the comparison group. This file may optionally be imported back into Q Local or Q-global for access to those assessment records.

 

1.       Open CGG.

2.    Click the Export: TRQ button next to the comparison group you would like to export the .trq file for. A Save As dialog box will appear.

3.    Browse to the location where you would like to save the export file and click Save.

 

Include a User-defined Comparison Group in a report

1.    From the Report tab, search for the report for which you would like to include the comparison group.

2.       Select the report from the results and click View Report.

3.    The Report Configuration dialog box will display.

4.       Click the Use Comparison Group checkbox.

5.    Select the User-defined radio button.

6.       Select the Comparison Group.

7.       Select the Gender.

8.       Click the Generate Report button.

Standard/User-defined

Once you have clicked the checkbox to include a comparison group in your report, you are required to select either a Standard or User-defined (Custom) Comparison Group.

 

Note: The Standard comparison group radio button is selected by default. These are comparison groups that have been defined by the authors of the assessment.

Group

Once the Custom radio button is selected, the first comparison group (alphabetically) in the dropdown is selected by default.

Gender

Once a User-defined comparison group is selected, you must select the gender of the group. Groups can be Male, Female, or Combined-Gender.

 

Note: Gender radio buttons will only be enabled for comparison groups that have been previously defined. For example, if you select the ‘Section E’ group and only a Female group has been created, the female radio will be enabled and the Male and Combined-gender radio buttons will be disabled.
