Configuring DASII Reports

The second edition of the Differential Ability ScalesTM (DAS–II) assessment offers a Score Report on Q-globalTM for both the Early Years (EY) and Normative Update School-Age (NU SA) batteries.

 

Click Select next to the report name to select the report and display the report configuration options. Inventory needed and usages available are displayed for the report.

 

DAS–II Score Report

The DAS–II Score Report provides detailed information about demographics, subtest scores and profiles, cluster/composite scores and profiles, subtest comparison scores, cluster/composite comparison scores, and subtest strengths-weaknesses compared against mean scores for a single administration.

 

Use the checkboxes and radio buttons under Report Selection & Configurations to choose the report file type, report options, and settings for the DAS–II Score Report.

 

Field name

Description

Report file type

Select either PDF or Word doc for the file type of the report.

Report options (Select options to include in the report.)

Examinee name

Select this option  to include the examinee’s name in the report.

Settings

Confidence interval

Select the desired confidence interval for the cluster/composite scores. This value is used to determine the reliability of the estimate. Increasing the desired confidence level will widen the confidence interval (90% or 95%).

Statistical significance level

Select the desired significance level for the subtest and cluster/composite comparisons. Increasing the desired significance level will lessen the critical values needed to flag a difference as significant (.01, .05, or .15).

Base rate reference group for discrepancy comparisons

Select the base rate reference group for discrepancy comparisons: cluster, composite, and subtest level (overall sample or ability level).

Base rate reference group for determining strengths and weaknesses

Select the base rate reference group for determining strengths and weaknesses at the subtest level: mean T for General Conceptual Ability or mean T for Special Nonverbal Composite.
