The Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development^™ (Australian and New Zealand Standardised 4th ed.; Bayley^™-4^A&NZ)  assesses infant and toddler development across five scales: Cognitive, Language, Motor, Social-Emotional, and Adaptive Behaviour.

Administration of the Cognitive, Language, and Motor items includes administering structured items to the child and utilising the caregiver’s description of the child’s behaviour outside of the testing environment.

Information for the Social-Emotional and Adaptive Behaviour Scales is collected from a primary caregiver using the Social-Emotional and Adaptive Behaviour Questionnaire.
