Entering DASII Scores

The DAS–II is an individually administered battery of cognitive subtests for children and adolescents ages 2 years 6 months through 17 years 11 months (2:6–17:11).

 

There are two DAS–II batteries:

  1. EY battery (ages 2:6–8:11)

  2. NU SA battery (ages 5:0–17:11)

 

For both the DAS–II batteries on Q-global, there is an Overview tab, a Subtests tab, and an Observations tab. Refer to the sections below for additional details about the Overview, Subtests, and Observations tabs.

 

Overview Tab

The Overview tab includes an Administration Settings section and an Assessment Demographics section for both DAS–II batteries and includes the fields as listed below.

 

Field name

Description

Language norm set

(Only for EY battery)

The examinee’s delivery language norm set:

  • U.S. – English (default)

  • U.S. – Spanish

Note. DAS–II NU SA form is always defaulted to U.S. – English.

Battery level to base report

(Only for EY battery)

The examinee’s battery level to base report:

  • Early Years Lower Level

  • Early Years Upper Level (default)

Note. Not available for DAS–II NU SA form.

Race/Ethnicity

The examinee’s race/ethnicity; if “Other” is selected, a text field is displayed, and a response must be entered

Handedness

The examinee's handedness (preference for the use of the left or right hand)

Primary language

The examinee's primary spoken language

Current grade

The grade level of the examinee at the time of the assessment administration; if it is summer break, enter examinee’s upcoming grade

School

The name of the examinee's school

Teacher

The name of the examinee's teacher

Comments

Allows the examiner to provide additional comments

Observations Tab

The Observations tab allows for optional entry of observed behaviors from the Behavioral Observation page in the Record Forms.

 

Behavioral Observations

Indicate the behaviors observed during test administration. Consider the examinee’s age when indicating behaviors.

Age Validation

The age of the examinee will be calculated against the Assessment Date and validated that it is within the age range for the DAS–II: ages 2:6–17:11.
