Entering ESI-3 Scores
The ESI™-3 is a revision of the successful ESI-R™, a developmental screening instrument designed to be individually administered to
children ages 3:0–5:11. It identifies children who may need special education services in order to perform successfully in school.
Manual Entry, On-Screen Administration, and Remote On-Screen Administration are available.
For Manual Entry, there are two tabs: Demographics and Item Entry.

Was the Parent Questionnaire administered? | The user selects Yes or No. |
School | The user enters the name of the examinee’s school. |
Teacher Name |
The user enters the name of the examinee’s teacher. |

Command Buttons
When the user clicks the Start Assessment button, the on-screen administration will launch. When the Save or Save and Close
button is clicked, the record will be saved with a status of “Ready for Reporting,” “Ready for Administration” or “Needs Editing,”
depending on the data still necessary to score the assessment. When the assessment record is opened again and the Edit button
is clicked, the user will be able to complete any missing information.
