Configuring MPQ Reports

The following reports are offered for MPQ:

 

 

Click Select next to the report name to select the report and display the report configuration options. Inventory needed and usages available are displayed for the report.

 

MPQ Score Report

This report provides scores for all 17 scales of the test and includes a summary page to facilitate standard MPQ interpretation along with optional comparison groups and customizable item-level information.

The Score Report includes the following sections:

 

Use the following checkboxes and radio buttons under Report Selection & Configurations to choose the report options and settings for the MPQ Score Report.

Field Name

Description

Report Options

Include examinee name

When checked, the examinee’s name is included on the cover page and page header.

Print item responses

When checked, an Item Responses page is included at the end of the report.

Suppress item text

When checked, item content in the report is replaced with the text “Item content omitted.”

Comparison Groups

Use comparison group

When checked, comparison group data is included in the report. Select a Group using the radio buttons. Once Group is selected, a list of available Gender selections is displayed. Gender selections vary by Group.

Scales and Cutoffs for Listing Item-Level Information

Specify item-level information

This checkbox allows for the selection of scales and cutoff values to be used in the User-Designated Item-Level Information section of report.

 

An MPQ report can be regenerated with different options selected without incurring additional cost. Thus, a recommended approach is to generate an initial report with no scales selected for this section. After reviewing the scores, the report can be regenerated using scales and cutoffs for item response information according to the scales that warrant more in-depth investigation.

 

MPQ Police Preemployment Interpretive Report (PPIR)

This report includes full scoring information (see Score Report) and an integrated interpretation of scores specifically for police applicants or candidates, organized in the following sections:

Comparison Groups

Group

Select a comparison group—Police Preoffer or Police Postoffer. Only one comparison group may be selected at a time, but the report can be regenerated with another group selected at no additional cost.

Gender

This field displays the gender of the comparison group. Combined-Gender is the only option available for this report. Both comparison groups include men and women, in keeping with the legal prohibition against using gender-based norms in employment-related assessments.

Scales and Cutoffs for Listing Item-Level Information
