Entering CELF-5A&NZ Scores

The CELF®-5A&NZ is an individually-administered clinical tool for the identification, diagnosis, and follow-up evaluation of language and communication disorders in students ages 5–21 years.

 

There is three sections available when entering scores for the CELF®-5A&NZ

Demographic Tab

The Demographics tab includes a Demographic Information section.

Demographic Information

Field Name

Description

Year Level The examinee's year level.
School The examinee's school.
Address (Line 1) Line 1 of the examinee's address.
Address (Line 2) Line 2 of the examinee's address.
Teacher's Name The name of the examinee's teacher.
Handedness The examinee's handedness
Comments This field allows the examiner to enter comments regarding the Assessment or the Examinee. These comments are displayed in the report.

Additional Information Tab

Additional Information

Field Name

Response Time Observation of the examinee's response time throughout the test session.
Need for Repetitions of Stimuli Observation of the examinee’s need for repetitions of stimuli throughout the test session
Attention During Test Taking Observation of the examinee's attention throughout the test session.
Attitude towards Test Taking Observation of the examinee's attitude towards testing throughout the session.
Social Language Register and Quantity Observation of the examinee’s social language: register and quantity throughout the test session

Scores Tab

The Scores tab includes links to the score entry pages for scores from the Record Forms, the Reading and Writing Supplements and the Observational Rating Scale. Raw scores or item scores can be entered for each subtest.

Observational Rating Scale ORS

  • 500 word summary

Command Buttons

When you click the Save or the Save and Close button, the system checks to ensure all of the required data has been entered. If any data is missing or invalid, you will be asked if you want to continue.

 

If you choose “Yes,” the record will be saved with a status of “Ready for Administration” or “Needs Editing,” depending on the data still necessary to score the assessment. When you open the assessment record again and click the "Edit" button, you will be able to complete any missing or invalid items.

 

If you choose “No,” you are returned to the page where you can finish entering the data immediately.
