Configuring WAIS-IV Reports

For the WAIS-IV, there are two reports available: the Score Report and the Interpretive Report.

 

Click Select next to the report name to proceed to the report configurations. The Report Options on the Configurations screen allow the user to choose the report settings.

 

WAIS-IV Score Report

Display Component Description
Tables and Graphs
Composite Score Summary

If selected, a composite score summary table will be included in the report. The following are WAIS-IV composites:

 

  • Verbal Comprehension

  • Perceptual Reasoning

  • Working Memory

  • Processing Speed

  • Full Scale

  • General Ability

 

The composite score summary includes sum of scaled scores, composite score, percentile rank, confidence interval and qualitative description for each scale administered to the examinee.

Composite Score Profile

If selected, a composite score graphic profile will be included in the report.

 

The composite graphic profile includes the plotted standard score and the plotted standard error of measurement for each standard score.

Index Level Discrepancy Comparisons

If selected, discrepancy comparisons for index level scores will be included in the report.

 

This table includes standard score for index 1, standard score for index 2, the difference in standard scores, critical value, significance of difference, and base rate.

Verbal Comprehension Subtests Summary

If selected, a score summary table with information regarding all administered subtests within this scale will be included.

 

This table includes the raw score, scaled score, percentile rank, reference group, and standard error of measurement for each subtest.

Perceptual Reasoning Subtests Summary

If selected, a score summary table with information regarding all administered subtests within this scale will be included.

 

This table includes the raw score, scaled score, percentile rank, reference group, and standard error of measurement for each subtest.

Working Memory Subtests Summary

If selected, a score summary table with information regarding all administered subtests within this scale will be included.

 

This table includes the raw score, scaled score, percentile rank, reference group, and standard error of measurement for each subtest.

Processing Speed Subtests Summary

If selected, a score summary table with information regarding all administered subtests within this scale will be included.

 

This table includes the raw score, scaled score, percentile rank, reference group, and standard error of measurement for each subtest.

Subtest Level Discrepancy Comparisons

If selected, discrepancy comparisons for subtest level scores will be included in the report.

 

This table includes standard score for subtest 1, standard score for subtest 2, the difference in standard scores, critical value, significance of difference, and base rate.

Subtest Scaled Score Profile

If selected, a subtest scaled score graphic profile will be included in the report.

Determining Strengths and Weaknesses

If selected, the Differences Between Subtest and Overall Mean of Subtest Scores table OR the Differences Between Subtest and Verbal Comprehension and Perceptual Reasoning Means of Subtest Scores will be included in the report.

 

This table includes a subtest scaled score, mean scaled score, difference between subtest scaled score and mean scaled score, critical value, strength or weakness and base rate.

Perceptual Reasoning Process Score Summary

If selected, a score summary table for the Perceptual Reasoning Process Score Summary will be included.

 

This table includes the raw score, scaled score, percentile rank and standard error of measurement.

Working Memory Process Score Summary

If selected, a score summary table for the Working Memory Process Score will be included.

 

This table includes the raw score, scaled score, percentile rank and standard error of measurement.

Process Level Discrepancy Comparisons

If selected, discrepancy comparisons for process scores will be included in the report.

 

This table includes process score for subtest 1, process score for subtest 2, the difference in standard scores, critical value, significance of difference, and base rate.

Raw Scores Table

If selected, a raw score table will be included in the report with information regarding all administered subtests.

 

This table includes the subtest/process name, score range and raw score.

Include General Ability Index

The General Ability Index is an optional index. If selected, information regarding this index will be included in the report in all applicable graphs and tables.

Subtest Comparison Group

Overall Mean

If selected, the Overall Mean will be used for discrepancy comparison in the Determining Strengths and Weaknesses section of the report.

Verbal Comprehension and Perceptual Reasoning Means

If selected, the Verbal Comprehension and Perceptual Reasoning Means will be used for discrepancy comparison in the Determining Strengths and Weaknesses section of the report.

Overall Sample

If selected, the source of the base rate information included in the report will be derived from the overall sample.

Ability Level

If selected, the source of the base rate information included in the report will be derived from the ability level.
