The BYI™–2 contains five self-report inventories that assess symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, disruptive behavior, and self-concept in children and adolescents ages 7 through 18 years.
For the BYI-2, there is a Demographics tab and an Item Entry tab. In addition, the BYI-2 can be administered through Manual Entry (ME), On-Screen Administration (OSA) or Remote On-Screen Administration (ROSA).

For manual entry edits, the following numeric values correspond to the appropriate answers:
0 = Never, 1 = Sometimes, 2 = Often, 3 = Always

When you click the Save or the Save and Close button, the system checks to ensure all of the required data has been entered. If any data is missing or invalid, you will be asked if you want to continue.
If you choose “Yes,” the record will be saved with a status of “Ready for Administration” or “Needs Editing,” depending on the data still necessary to score the assessment. When you open the assessment record again and click the "Edit" button, you will be able to complete any missing or invalid items.
If you choose “No,” you are returned to the page where you can continue with the data entry.
